It’s been a while since I’ve written here. An entire season has passed me by. Perhaps I embraced the notion of letting go during Autumn a little too well, but it’s what my body and soul asked for. Autumn this year has been a season of shifting and changing for me. Personally, it’s been a heavy year, and I know from speaking with friends, that there seems to be something in the collective about the heaviness of 2025. I think, somewhere on that downward descent into the underworld of the dark half of the year, I’d leaned a little too much into my masculine energy. I’d tried to maintain an output I’d achieved during the lighter months of the year and got caught up in the systems and processes and in doing so, I’d forgotten to nurture my muse and listen to my intuition.

So much so that when the cusp of Winter arrived, I was burnt out, ill, and struggling to balance everything in my life. I felt off kilter and disconnected. My natural instinct took over, and I began to pull back, cocooning myself in gentleness and taking each day as it came. I’m still in the depth of that cocoon, and at the Winter Solstice, I embraced the Stillness that only the magic of Winter can offer. It was at that point that my Word of the Year came to me. It was unusually late, but that alone held the wisdom of trusting the process. So, for 2026, I’m embracing Simplicity.

2025 has been a hard year. There have been many changes and not all have been good. I tried to do everything and lost myself amongst the processes. So for 2026, I’m going to strip everything back. I’m going to return to my roots and see what wants to grow. I’m not going to over complicate things, and I’m not going to harness my creativity for the sake of productivity. I’ll talk more about Simplicity as it roots more firmly in my body and mind, but for now, I’m just going to embrace the dreaming stage of Winter.

I’ll be closing a few of the themes I’ve explored this year on the blog, as well as carrying a few forward, mainly my Goddess series which I’ve enjoyed exploring so much. If there is anything you’d like me to explore here, please get in touch and let me know.
