When I’d first felt into my Divine Feminine series here on my blog, some seasons arrived as an immediate claiming. A summoning by the Goddess in one of her many forms. The Cailleach for Winter. Brighid as Imbolc began to stir Spring. Aphrodite calls to me later in the year, when the world blushes with heat and longing. Some seasons- like Pisces- didn’t reveal themselves until I was already within their waters. I knew it would be a time of tides and intuition, but I had to trust the flow to find Coventina.
Then Aries season came- Spring’s wild rebirth, carried on flames of boldness and upward expansion. The sap rose as life stirred. It was time to rise fully from the underworld- guided by Persephone as she too, rose from her own shadowed realms. But she was not the one who called me now. Persephone rises with Spring, yes- but she is my guide in descent, not return.
So who would call at the edge of this newness?
As soon as I asked the question, the Morrigan stepped forward.
The Morrigan mirrors Spring and Aries not in softness, but in fire. They are the initiator. The activator. The sacred challenger. The call to rise- not tiptoe- into a new season and reclaim what is yours- your name, your truth, your power, your own becoming.
My deepest connection with the Morrigan has always been through sovereignty. The sacred right to rule oneself. With the Spring Equinox, my Wild Maiden steps forward- barefoot and unashamed- to the wild edges of who I am. This is exactly what the Morrigan asks.
Can you grow wildly, without pruning your truth?
The Morrigan is not just one face, but three- a trinity of power, prophecy and presence.
Badb, Nemain, Macha.
Shape-shifter, crow and the whisper that asks not “are you ready?” but “are you willing?”
And in Spring-when the world begins to rise again- they don’t call softly. They arrive with fire, with blood, and with the crown of sovereignty in hand.
Aries season is the perfect mirror for their energy: it’s bold, raw and unapologetically alive.
Below are some correspondences I’ve worked with over the last few weeks and will continue with until Taurus season arrives and the Goddess shifts her face once more. As always, take what resonates. Leave the rest. Discern your own truths as your rise into your own becoming.

Correspondences of the Morrigan.
I’ve found a connection to the Morrigan at Spring, but more importantly at the threshold of action, rebirth and wild reclaiming.
They bring the fires of ignition, transformation, divine rage and life-force, but also the earthy groundedness of sovereignty, endurance and bone-deep truth.
Blackthorn has stood out to me this year- linked to shadow work, sovereignty and the death/rebirth cycle. The thorns represent protection and the tree provides the fruits of the sloe berry- a link I’ll explore later in the year.
Nettle is abundant right now and it sings of the protection and fierceness that the Morrigan brings.
The crystals on my altar now are Carnelian and Bloodstone.
This is the Morrigan’s season of wild becoming.
They do not ask for permission. They do not offer comfort.
They come to awaken you.
To challenge you.
To ask:
Will you name yourself and rise?
