How to Vision Board your Life.

I love setting new goals, making plans and generally dreaming at the beginning of the Year. With a strong vision of what I want my life to look like- I can manifest it. When you set your intention, work towards achieving it with physical work and a little bit of magick, you can manifest your dreams. I love having a visual representation of what my goals are for the year for this purpose- they serve as a reminder of your goals and encourage you to keep taking those steps! If you didn’t create your goals or vision board in January- that is totally fine. February is the first stirrings of Spring, so you can still set them now!

Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.

What to use to make your vision board.

You can be as creative as you like with what you make your vision board on- a large piece of card, cutouts of words, images or colours that you’re bringing into your life this year. It can be a great source to practice your creativity! I, however, love using Pinterest to create my vision boards. You can also use something like Canva to create your vision board and save it as your desktop- your vision board needs to be something that you see on a regular basis!

When thinking about what you want to include on your vision board, think about the following questions and see what comes up for you- you may even want to journal these to fully explore them, or just go with the flow and see what comes up!

  • what is important to you?
  • what do you want to attract into your life this year?
  • What are you wanting to achieve in your life this year?

The questions above are all referring to what you want to achieve/do/etc in a year- but your board can be for a short-term goal, if that’s what feels right for you. There’s no wrong or right way to do a vision board- it’s unique to you.

So my vision board comes in two parts- I start working on my word of the year board around the end of October, beginning of November- Halloween is also known as the Celtic New Year, and when my word of the year comes to me- I create my new board. For 2022- my word is surrender. I spend the next couple of months feeling into this, and seeing what comes up, what themes are going to be prominent for the next year. Once I’ve had a couple of months to do this- I start working on my vision board!

My vision board I do on Canva- once I know the themes that I want to focus on for the year, some of the things I want to achieve, etc, I create a blank page to work from on Canva. I use the poster size (42cm x 59.4cm), and play around with words, images and colours to create something that is visually representing what my vision for the year is.

I’ve included my word of the year, to remind me of what it is and to embody it as much as possible- I’ve also written down some of the key things I want to do or focus on this year!

Home, Life and Spritituality are all key things for me- hence that they are important to Lunar Cove too! But they’re each represented on my vision board for the year, as well as some goals I want to achieve- the launch of my first offering on Lunar Cove, the family holiday we want to take this year- which will be our first with Rowan, and working on my garden further this year.

I do have a lot more inspirational content that goes onto my Pinterest boards- but I choose the key parts to add onto my vision board- once the board is finished, it stays as is, but my pinterest boards I revist frequently, looking for more inspiration to add to it, or relooking at what I’ve already added to remind me of what’s important this year for me!

My 2022 Vision Board is below- you can see some of the themes and ideas that are important to me!

And that’s how I complete my Word of the Year Board and Vision Board for the year! Do you prefer the digital version, or doing it by hand? Let me know in the comments!
